Aboutproject
BRIEF A public awareness campaign for the Mushika Foundation under the slogan “Respect Knows No Species”, encouraging people to rethink their perception of rats and their place in the urban ecosystem. We brought this message to walls in two cities: on Jedności Narodowej Street in Wrocław and Jaworzyńska Street in Warsaw, combining a traditional hand-painted mural with a Motion Mural installation. CHALLENGE Presenting animals burdened by negative stereotypes in a friendly, engaging way. We adapted a detailed illustration to two different façades while maintaining a cohesive composition and keeping the campaign slogan clearly legible. In Warsaw, an additional challenge was to precisely align the projected animation with the painted artwork, bringing movement and another layer of storytelling to the mural after dark. RESULT Two murals that brought the message of respect for animals into everyday urban life. The Wrocław mural explored the coexistence of people and urban wildlife through colour and illustration, while Warsaw’s Motion Mural extended the story after dark through projected animation. The QR code and jestemszczurem.pl website address featured on both murals invited passers-by to discover the campaign and see rats from a different perspective.
